How to cancel Apple Music
TL;DR
- • iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Apple Music → Cancel.
- • Free trial cancellations still give you access until the trial ends.
- • Downloaded songs stop playing immediately when subscription ends.
- • Playlists are restored for 30 days if you re-subscribe.
On iPhone or iPad
Settings → tap your name at the top → Subscriptions → Apple Music → Cancel Subscription. Confirm.
On Mac
Open the App Store → click your name in the bottom-left → Account Settings → scroll to Subscriptions → Manage → Cancel next to Apple Music.
On Android
Open the Apple Music app → tap the three-dot menu → Account → Manage Subscription → Cancel.
On the web
Go to music.apple.com → click your initials top-right → Settings → scroll to Subscriptions → Manage.
How to get a refund
Within 14 days of an unwanted renewal, go to reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in, find the Apple Music charge, and click Report a Problem. Choose "I didn't mean to subscribe" or "Subscription auto-renewed unexpectedly". Apple approves most first-time refund requests within 48 hours.
Bundled with Apple One?
If Apple Music is part of an Apple One subscription, cancelling Apple One ends Music, TV+, iCloud, Arcade, and News+ together. To keep some services, downgrade Apple One to a smaller tier instead.
Frequently asked
Can I cancel Apple Music and keep iCloud?
If they're separate subscriptions, yes. If you're on Apple One, you have to downgrade to a tier that includes iCloud but excludes Music — or cancel Apple One and re-subscribe to iCloud individually.
What happens to my Replay playlist?
Replay 2026 and previous years stay viewable on the web at replay.music.apple.com, even after cancellation.
